By completing the ISSCR application for membership, you are confirming that you are willing to abide by the professional standards espoused in the Guidelines documents for the conduct of human embryonic stem cell research and clinical translation.

Join Online. Online member registration is available through ISSCR's secure registration form. ISSCR accepts American Express, VISA, and MasterCard for online registration.

Print Application Form (PDF). Download the ISSCR membership application. Fax or send completed application to ISSCR Headquarters.

Additional Forms. Application may require one of the following forms be completed in addition to the registration form:

Membership Categories
Individuals may participate in the Society in the following membership categories:

• Active
• Associate
• Affiliate

Active Membership (secure registration form)
Application is open to any person with a doctoral degree or its equivalent who has manifested a continuous interest in any discipline important to stem cell research as evidenced by work in the field, original contributions, and attendance at meetings concerning stem cell research. Individuals who lack a doctorate but have exceptional qualifications are also eligible.

Associate (Trainee) Membership (secure registration form)
Application is open to postdoctoral fellows or graduate students in stem cell research programs. Associate (Trainee) Membership will be limited to four years.

Affiliate Membership (secure registration form)
Application is open to individual representatives of industry and others with an interest in stem cell research who do not qualify for Active or Associate membership.

Membership Dues
Membership is for the calendar year January 1 through December 31. Dues are not prorated, however, dues received after October 1 will be applied to the following calendar year. A convenient option to pay for your membership for three years at a time is now available. Dues are payable in U.S. Dollars (USD)

Reduced Membership Dues for Members from Eligible Countries
Members whose sole laboratory is in an eligible country (listed below) are offered the following reduced membership dues rates. Dues are payable in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Countries where it was considered that the full cost of joining the ISSCR would be prohibitive are listed below and members whose sole laboratory is in one of these countries are eligible for reduced membership dues. The list was recommended by the International and Membership Committees and is subject to change annually.
