Call for Abstracts – ISSCR 12th Annual Meeting

Regular Abstract Submission for the ISSCR 12th Annual Meeting has CLOSED: Notifications for regular abstract submissions were sent on April 4th from Note: Email notifications occassionally go to junk email folders.

The ISSCR invites the submission of Late Breaking Abstracts to be considered for poster presentations that report new research developments in the areas of stem cell biology, stem cell medicine, regenerative medicine, or ethical and regulatory issues. Abstracts are invited from physicians, scientists, researchers, and trainees in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education.

Late Breaking Abstracts are only considered for poster presentations: Presenters scheduled in poster sessions will be assigned a board to display text and other illustrative material (graphs, charts and tables) for a specific session. Posters will be on display for viewing for one day of the meeting, either Wednesday June 18, Thursday June 19 or Friday June 20.  Each of these days will have a 2 hour presentation period. Presenters will be assigned one hour to be present at their poster to discuss their work with attendees.

Late Breaking Abstracts will be not be included in printed abstract book. They will be available to meeting attendees through the meeting program planner and the mobile app and available in a downloadable pdf.

All abstracts submitted for the ISSCR Annual Meeting are screened by the Abstract Program Committee to ensure that they meet the minimum submission standards:

Presentation Agreement
Acceptance of the terms of the abstract submission agreement is required of all those who submit an abstract for consideration for presentation at the ISSCR Annual Meeting. 

Abstract Title
Titles are limited to 250 characters, including spaces.  Titles that include a tissue should include the species and type of tissue used.

Each abstract may indicate only one presenter. The presenter should be the First Author.  Data required: first name, last name, affiliated institution, full mailing address, e-mail address, phone and trainee status (if applicable).  Presenting authors will receive all communication from ISSCR regarding the outcome of the submission and are expected to share that information with the co-authors.

Each abstract can include a maximum of 24 co-authors. Data required: first name, last name, affiliation, affiliation location and e-mail address.

Abstract Text
Abstracts are limited to 3,000 characters, not including spaces. Abstract text should not include authors, references or acknowledge funding sources.

You must provide at least one and up to three keywords used to help group the abstract appropriately. Please choose specific keywords.

Additional Information
You must identify if the research described in your abstract 1) includes a clinical trial or  2) is part of an industry-academic partnership.

Junior Investigator Awards
Applications for Poster awards have closed. Late Breaking Abstracts are not elibible for JI Poster awards

Travel Awards
Travel awards applications are closed. Late Breaking Abstracts will not be considered for Travel awards.

Abstract Submission Fee
There is a non-refundable $80.00 USD abstract submission fee for each abstract submitted.

All abstract presenters are required to register for the meeting.  Abstract acceptance does not constitute meeting registration.
