CHICAGO — The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) 12th Annual Meeting, the largest international interdisciplinary forum dedicated to stem cell science, will host a media panel on June 20, 2014, discussing the opportunities and challenges in commercializing stem cell research and its application to treat disease. Following a review of the state of the field, panelists will provide insight into the challenges and complexities in obtaining funding, navigating global regulatory pathways, intellectual property and the value of collaborations on the road to commercialization. This diverse panel includes representatives from companies at the forefront of developing cell-based therapies and tools to support commercialization and clinical application of stem cell research.
