Important Items:

Regular abstract submissions are now CLOSED: as of 11 February, 2015

Regular abstract acceptance notifications: All acceptance notifications have been sent. Abstract presenters must have been registered by 1 May to be included in the program
Poster session and poster board number assignments: Sent 14 May- check your inbox or junk box for emails from abstracts@isscr.org. Please email abstracts@isscr.org if you did not yet receive the notification.

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) invites the submission of abstracts that report new research developments across the breadth of stem cell biology, stem cell medicine, regenerative medicine, or related ethical and regulatory issues. Session topics are listed here .

Abstracts submitted before the 11 February deadline are now being considered for oral or poster presentation at the ISSCR 13th Annual Meeting, 24-27 June, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden.  We continue to welcome abstracts for poster consideration until May 1 from physicians, scientists, researchers, and trainees in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education.

Abstracts are evaluated to ensure that they meet the submission standards:


Late Breaking Abstracts

Please familiarize yourself with the details and requirements specified below before submitting an abstract online.  Abstracts are not peer-reviewed, but those printed in the meeting program or abstract book are citable. All abstract presenters are required to register for the meeting.  A non-refundable $90 fee is required for Late Breaking abstract submission. Abstract submission or acceptance does not constitute meeting registration.

Late breaking abstracts are:

  • Not eligible for Travel Awards
  • Not eligible for oral speaking roles
  • Not included in the electronic poster abstract book. They will be available in the online program planner and mobile app.
  • Not assigned poster boards within the topic specific sections of the poster hall. They will be assigned boards in the Late Breaking Poster area.

Information required for online abstract submission

Before submitting a Late Breaking abstract, review the following required information (click on each title for details):


Presentation Agreement

Acceptance of the terms of the abstract submission agreement is required of all those who submit an abstract for consideration for presentation at the ISSCR Annual Meeting.


Abstract Title

Titles are limited to 175 characters, including spaces. Titles that include a tissue should include the species and type of tissue used.


Presenter

Each abstract may indicate only one presenter. The presenter should be the First Author.  Data required: first name, last name, affiliation, full mailing address, e-mail address, phone and trainee status (if applicable).  Presenting authors will receive all communication from ISSCR regarding the outcome of the submission and are expected to share that
information with the co-authors.


Co-Authors

Each abstract can include a maximum of 24 co-authors. Data required: first name, last name, affiliation, affiliation location and e-mail address.


Abstract Text

Abstracts are limited to 2,000 characters, not including spaces. Abstract text should not include authors, references or acknowledge funding sources. Abstracts should be written in a collapsed format (no paragraph breaks.)


Keywords

You will be asked to include three keywords to identify your abstract in a search among the ISSCR abstracts.


Additional Information

You will be asked two additional questions

  • Does the research described in this abstract include human research participants?
  • Is the research described in this abstract part of an academic-industry partnership or collaboration?

Abstract Submission Fee

There is a non-refundable $90.00 USD abstract submission fee for each Late Breaking abstract submitted. Payment must be made by credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express).
