Thank you to all who attended!

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) together with the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) presented the International Symposium Pluripotency from basic science to therapeutic application 22-24 March, 2016The International Symposia series expands the global reach of ISSCR and CiRA educational programming and invites attendees from around the world.

Kyoto University
Clock Tower Centennial Hall

Pluripotency from basic science to therapeutic application celebrated 10 years of iPS technology with the top scientists in pluripotent stem cell biology, cell differentiation and direct reprogramming, and therapeutic applications. from around the world. Attendees explored the latest directions of stem cell research, including new techniques in genome editing, that are moving the field to new understandings of disease and toward therapeutic applications.

  • What to Expect

ISSCR and CiRA are proud to present an exceptional scientific program in an engaging, intimate atmosphere. The meeting will begin with an opening special lecture by Shinya Yamanaka followed by an afternoon session on Tuesday, 22 March and conclude in the evening of Thursday, 24 March. There will be plenty of opportunities for interaction among all levels of attendees. Lecture sessions will be supplemented with:

    Lunch discussion with speakers

Opportunities for abstract selected talks, poster teasers and poster presentation

    Social and networking events

  • Who should attend?

Academic, industry and clinical researchers interested in pluripotent stem cell biology and its therapeutic applications are encouraged to attend and share their research. Attendees will hear from leaders in the field and benefit from the convivial atmosphere and open exchange of ideas found at this symposium.

  • What Sets International Symposia Apart?

International Symposia are focused meetings that bring together approximately 400 attendees and 100 posters in addition to many exhibitors with innovative technologies. The goal is to provide a platform where attendees and the field’s leading researchers can learn about the latest science and foster collaborations.

Strong programs which include presentations by world thought leaders and are designed to explore a topic in greater depth than may otherwise be possible.

Relaxed interactions with noted fellow researchers, including Keynote speakers Austin Smith and Richard Young and other invited leaders in the field.

Smaller, intimate conferences with time to networking with scholars, clinical researchers and executives of global firms during social hours, lunches, dinners and poster receptions.
