Global Controls in Stem Cells

Conference Center: Biopolis
Location: 30 Biopolis Street, Singapore 138671
Venue: Biopolis, Matrix building, The Auditorium, Level 2

Welcome!

The ISSCR’s Regional Forum Series expands the global reach of our educational programming in 2014 by partnering with the Stem Cell Society Singapore (SCSS) for a joint conference, Global Controls in Stem Cells. Designed to complement the ISSCR Annual Meeting, Regional Forums are held in more intimate settings and provide a focused look at specific topics within stem cell research. In 2014, ISSCR is joining SCSS to offer a cutting-edge program. Global Controls in Stem Cells will also be the SCSS’s Annual Symposium.

What to Expect

ISSCR and SCSS are proud to present a program designed to explore the fundamental molecular mechanisms controlling cell identity with leaders in ES cell pluripotency, development and cellular reprogramming.

This focused meeting is expected to draw more than 400 attendees and well over 100 posters in addition to exhibitors with innovative technologies. The overarching goal of the conference is to provide a platform to learn, while fostering collaboration and facilitating discussion among the field’s leading researchers -in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Who Attends?

Stem cell scientists interested in global and epigenetic regulation of gene expression in cells during development, differentiation, disease, reprogramming or aging should attend.

What Sets the Regional Forums Apart?

Regional Forums are designed to facilitate international stem cell discourse throughout the year. These events differ from the ISSCR Annual Meeting in the following ways:

  • Regional Forums are smaller by design allowing for more relaxed interactions among attendees.
  • The strong programs include presentations by world thought leaders and are typically designed to explore a topic in greater depth than may otherwise be possible.
  • The intimate setting and casual environment offers more opportunities to mingle and deepen existing or new relationships during social hours and poster receptions.
