Getting to Singapore

Flying to Singapore

When flying into Singapore, we recommend flying directly into Changi Airport (SIN). Servicing over 100 international airlines, Changi Airport is a major aviation hub in Southeast Asia.

Attendees will find transportation to and from Changi Airport quite convenient as taxis, shuttles, buses and the Mass Rapid Transit Train (MRT) are readily available for all travelers.

To find out more on airport transportation visit the Changi Airport’s website here

Using the MRT to and from Changi Airport

The Changi Airport MRT Station is located at the basement of Terminals 2 and 3. It is accessible from the Arrival and Departure Halls of these two terminals and there are escalators and lifts to connect you to the station entrance. Click here to view the shuttle’s schedule.

To get to the city from the airport, hop onboard the train and transfer to a west bound train at Tanah Merah Interchange station. The train service that leaves Changi Airport station at 11:18 p.m. daily will connect you to the last west bound train service at Tanah Merah station.

To get to the airport from the city, hop onboard an East-bound train towards Pasir Ris and transfer at Tanah Merah Interchange Station. The first train service to Changi Airport from Tanah Merah Interchange station arrives at 5:19 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and at 5:47 a.m. on Sundays and public holidays.

The average travelling time between Tanah Merah and Changi Airport MRT stations is seven minutes. The Buona Vista Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station is closest to the Biopolis, our Conference Center.

Taxi to and from Changi Airport

If you decide to use a taxi to and from the airport, you can book your ride even before you travel to Singapore, a half or full day in advance. Limo Taxi (http://www.limomaxi.com) and Limousine Cab (http://www.limousinecab.com) are best booked for groups of four and above. Surcharges apply for rides to and from the airport, starting at S$45 (approximately $36 USD).

Getting Around Singapore

There are many ways to make your way around the island of Singapore. Taxis, buses and the Mass Rapid Transit Train (MRT) are the most common options.

The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is probably the fastest way to get around Singapore besides taxis. To find out more feel free to view the train’s many stations and schedules here.
