Phase I: Opt into Job Match

Job Match is included in ISSCR 2019 Annual Meeting registration for ISSCR members, sponsors, and exhibitors. You'll be asked if you'd like to participate during online registration.

  • Job seekers: You will be asked questions about your expertise and the type of position you are seeking. Your responses will constitute your job match profile. You can also upload your CV for employers to view.
  • Employers: You will be asked about your open position and the types of candidates you are seeking. Your responses will constitute your job match profile.

If you have already registered, but would like to opt in to Job Match, you may modify your registration at any time.

Phase II: Browse and Connect

Starting in May 2019:

  • Visit the Job Match Directory to browse job match profiles for connections that meet your interests.
  • Employers can view details of potential candidates and view CVs and poster information. Job seekers can view open position details. 
  • Filter job match profiles by geography, field, technical expertise and much more.
  • Use the “Send Message” button to contact potential matches, or simply use email. Job seekers can contact employers and vice versa.
  • Return to the Job Match Directory periodically as additional participants complete profiles.

Phase III: Meet in Person

  • Select a location to meet from a variety of on-site meeting places or meet at a job seeker's poster. 
  • Communicate with your short-listed contacts and make plans to meet in Los Angeles in June.

  • Is this for me?
    If you are looking for your next position, then YES!

  • What does it cost to participate?
  • There is no additional fee. Job Match is included in your annual meeting registration fee.

  • I registered for the annual meeting but did not see the option to participate in Job Match.
  • If you are not a current ISSCR member, you will not see the option to participate as a job seeker. Click here to join the ISSCR or renew your membership for 2019.
  • Can I change my registration now and opt in to Job Match? 
  • Yes, you can return to your registration at any time to opt in to Job Match.
  • Where can I find the Job Match Directory? 
  • From May 2019-June 2019 you will be able to access the directory via a button on this page.
  • Can I post my CV?
  • You can upload your CV when you complete your Job Match profile. Including a CV is optional but recommended, as it will allow potential employers to learn more about you.
  • Can I include my poster information?
  • Your poster number and poster title will be added to your Job Match profile after poster numbers are assigned in May.

    If you are hoping to fill an open position at your lab or your company, then YES!

  • What does it cost to participate?
  • There is no additional fee. Job Match is included in your annual meeting registration fee.
  • How do I post an open position at my institution/company?
  • Opt into Job Match while registering for the annual meeting.  You will be asked questions about the open position.  You can also include a link to your institution's web page where the open position is posted.

  • Can I change my registration now and opt in to Job Match?
  • Yes, you can return to your registration at any time to opt in to Job Match.

  • Where can I find the Job Match Directory?
  • From May 2019-June 2019 You will be able to access the directory via a button on this page. 

  • Can I access job seeker CVs?
  • Yes, CVs are in the Job Match Directory.
  • Will all of the job seekers listed in the Job Match directory be at ISSCR 2019 in Los Angeles?
  • Yes! That is what makes this opportunity so unique. You can review the experience and CVs of the scientists who will be in L.A., contact them before and during the meeting via email, then meet on-site face-to-face at the event.

  • How can I post multiple open positions? 
  • If you have more than one open position, you will need to select categories that best describe them collectively. Then, use the “Describe Open Position” area to describe each of the open positions. You can include a link to your organization's web page or anywhere else your jobs are posted.

On-site Meeting Places

1. Poster Locations
The candidate's poster is a great place to meet. Poster numbers and poster titles will be included in job seeker profiles in mid-May.

2. Job Match Lounge
Look for the Job Match Lounge in the Exhibit Hall during Exhibit Hall hours. Tables and chairs will be available for your use on a drop-in basis.

3. ISSCR Central
Located in the center of the Exhibit Hall and open during Exhibit Hall hours. Tables and chairs will be available for your use on a drop-in basis.

4. Private Meeting Rooms
Three rooms will be available for your Job Match appointments during the Annual Meeting. Specific room names and locations will be listed here in May.
