ISSCR Educational Video Competition

Rally your lab to participate in the ISSCR Educational Video Contest!

The Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease was selected as the winner of the 2009 ISSCR Educational Video Competition. Congratulations to the three Junior Investigators from the Lab of Deepak Srivastava, MD: Kathryn N. Ivey, PhD, Josh Arnold and Mark P. White. The winning video was selected based on its originality and quality.  Watch their video Stem Cells: Myths, Truths and Possibilities which is featured in the Public Education section of the ISSCR Web site.

What does the public need to know about access to stem cell therapies? What do you need to know to prove a stem cell therapy is safe and effective? What are the differences between a therapy that is proven scientifically and one that is only supported by anecdotal testimony? Explain these key differences by creating an engaging and educational short video suitable for a high school audience. Your lab could win three complimentary Associate Member-level registrations to the ISSCR 8th Annual Meeting, June 16-19, 2010 in San Francisco, CA, USA, as well as the opportunity to have your original work featured in the Public Education section of the ISSCR Web site.
