Foreign Visas
Citizens of many countries are eligible for a visa waiver for entry into the United States, although some visitors will need a visa. Check with the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country of permanent residence to be certain. Applicants for visitor visas should apply at the U.S. Embassy or consulate in their place of permanent residence. Though visa applicants may apply at any U.S. consular office, it may be more difficult to qualify for the visa outside their country of permanent residence. For more information on obtaining a visa, visit the U.S. State Department's Web site.
