International Society for Stem Cell Research Announces 2006 - 2010 Annual Meeting Dates and Locations
Northbrook, IL – The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) announced the following Annual Meeting schedule:
- 2006 - Toronto, Ontario, Canada, June 29 – July 1, 2006
- 2007 - Cairns, Queensland, Australia, June 17 – 21, 2007
- 2008 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, June 12 – 14, 2008
- 2009 - European location to be determined, June, 2009
- 2010 - San Francisco, California, USA, June 17 – 19, 2010
ISSCR Annual Meetings have become the world’s premier stem cell research events, bringing together physicians, clinical investigators, commercial entities, professors and government officials in policy, public health and science from around the world. As the only international trans-disciplinary science-based organization dedicated to stem cell research, meeting attendance has increased by over 53% each year since the organizations inception and the first annual meeting in 2003.
The International Society for Stem Cell Research is an independent, nonprofit membership organization established in 2002 to promote and foster the exchange and dissemination of information and ideas relating to stem cells, to encourage the general field of research involving stem cells and to promote professional and public education in all areas of stem cell research and application. ISSCR seeks to provide information to the public and granting agencies regarding the ethical concerns, biology and potential use of stem cells.
