ISSCR has received questions from members, meeting attendees, and stakeholders related to the annual meeting related to the ever-evolving COVID-19 outbreak. We will continue to update this FAQ document to provide clarification for our community.

Q: If I register for the annual meeting, and am denied entry to the US because of COVID-19 restrictions, will I receive a refund?
A: Yes, if the travel restriction is stemming from COVID-19 and government and public health organization policies that prevent entry into the US, your annual meeting registration will be refunded. Official government documentation will be required.

Q: If I register for the ISSCR annual meeting and am unable to attend for reasons unrelated to COVID-19 or a visa restriction, can I receive a refund?
A: Please refer to the dates and deadlines associated with registration regarding the attendee cancellation policy.

Q: If I register for the annual meeting, and my company or institution does not allow me to travel because of COVID-19 restrictions, will I receive a refund?
A: Yes, if the restriction is stemming from COVID-19 and government and public health organization policies that prevent entry into the US. Official documentation from the institution will be required.

Q: If I submitted a regular abstract (before the 12 February deadline) and am now unable to attend the annual meeting due to travel restrictions related to COVID-19, can my abstract submission fee be refunded?
A: Consistent with long standing policies of the Society, the submission fee for abstracts cannot be refunded. If you are offered a poster presentation for your abstract and are unable to attend, we will ensure your abstract is printed in the Poster Abstract Book and appears in the mobile app for all meeting attendees to access. You also may have a colleague present the posteron your behalf. Please notify the Society at abstracts@isscr.org if you intend to have a “guest” presenter for your poster at ISSCR 2020. Please also review the deadlines association with regular abstracts.

Q: If I submitted a late-breaking abstract and am now unable to attend the annual meeting due to travel restrictions related to COVID-19, can my abstract submission fee be refunded?
A: Your late-breaking abstract submission fee can be refunded as long as the call for late-breaking abstracts is open. The submission deadline is 8 April, 2020. Please notify the Society at abstracts@isscr.org  if you wish to include your abstract in the program. We will ensure your abstract is printed in the Poster Abstract Book and appears in the mobile app for all meeting attendees to be able access.  Please review the deadlines association with late-breaking abstracts.

Q: What are the policies for exhibitors?
A: Please refer to the Rules and Regulations for exhibitors.
