The ISSCR is pleased to once again offer recognition for ISSCR Trainee members with outstanding abstracts with Travel Awards, Merit Abstract Awards, and Outstanding Poster Presentation Awards. 

To be eligible for Travel, Merit, and Poster Awards, you must:

    192276-200Be a trainee with an active ISSCR membership as of 6 February 2020. Become an ISSCR member. See our new discounts for three year trainee memberships.

    192276-200Submit an abstract through the online abstract submission process. Only abstracts submitted during the regular time-frame (not late-breaking) will be considered. Consult the Call for Abstracts, Deadlines, & Fees for detailed submission information.

    You must indicate if you wish to be considered for an ISSCR Travel Award in the abstract submission process. Merit Abstract and Poster Presentation Awards will be considered for all ISSCR Trainee members who submit abstracts and are members by February 6, 2020.

ISSCR Travel Awards

These awards are meant to help defray the cost of attending the ISSCR Annual Meeting. Recipients are selected based on the quality of the abstract submission with consideration given to geographic representation. To apply, indicate your interest during the online abstract submission process. Only trainees with active ISSCR membership as of 6 February, 2020 are eligible for consideration. The ISSCR is not able to accommodate the majority of requests for Travel Awards. We highly recommend you begin early to identify other sources of travel funds to attend the ISSCR annual meeting.

Notification: Applicants will be notified by email by 16 March, 2020 of award status. NOTE: To minimize issues with refunds, please wait to register until you have heard if you have received an ISSCR Travel Award. Emails will be sent before Early Registration deadline on March 18, 2020.

Distribution: Recipients will be awarded complimentary meeting registration and a possible cash award. The ISSCR will determine the composition of each recipients' award. Awardees must have their attendance at the meeting confirmed before their cash award will be distributed. Awardees are recognized at the annual meeting and on the ISSCR website.

ISSCR 2020 Merit Abstract Awards

These awards recognize superior abstracts with a certificate and recognition on the ISSCR website and at the annual meeting. Late-Breaking abstracts are not eligible. No application is necessary, only trainees with active ISSCR membership as of 6 February, 2020 with confirmed oral or poster presentations are considered.

Notification: Applicants will be notified by 8 May, 2020 of award status

Distribution: Awardees are recognized at the annual meeting, by certificate, and on the ISSCR website.

ISSCR Outstanding Poster Presentation Award

These awards are based on the quality of the abstract submission and the poster presentation. No application is necessary, only trainees with an abstract submission and active ISSCR membership as of  6 February, 2020 will be considered. Late-breaking abstracts will not be considered.

 

Distribution: Up to six trainee poster presentation award winners are announced during the final Plenary Session. Each winner will receive a $250 stipend and complimentary meeting registration for the 2021 Annual Meeting in Hamburg Germany, a free 12-month subscription to Current Protocols in Stem Cell Biology and Cell Stem Cell and a padfolio from Stem Cell Reports. Awardees are recognized on the ISSCR website.

Poster Presenter 2019
