  • 25 February, 2015

The ISSCR is pleased to welcome Dr. Jack Mosher as its new scientific affairs manager. Jack will be a key member of the ISSCR team, planning and hosting the professional webcasts available through ISSCR Connect, editing the Pulse newsletter and aiding in the development of scientific courses and programs for members. He will work closely with the ISSCR’s leadership and committees to support membership and policy initiatives, and will contribute heavily to public education and outreach activities.

Jack comes to the ISSCR from the University of Michigan, where he spent the past decade studying how stem cells function in the development and disease of the peripheral nervous system. His research included the role of stem cells in the origins of pediatric tumors and the development and treatment of developmental defects of the enteric nervous system, the network of nerves that regulate gut function.

Jack has been involved in stem cell education and outreach, most notably during the successful 2008 statewide ballot initiative to protect stem cell research in the Michigan constitution.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College and his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
