ISSCR Launches COVID-19 Survey and Resources for the Stem Cell Community

  • 6 April, 2020
Covid19 News

The ISSCR recognizes how important it is to support our international scientific community during these unprecedented times. The level of uncertainty and the current restrictions across the world on travel and in-person interactions will have long-lasting ramifications on institutions, labs, experiments, funding, publications, and careers. In order to support ISSCR members and the stem cell community, the Society has collated resources that may be helpful to you and your scientific colleagues right now. These include:

  • Scientific news and resources about the coronavirus and COVID-19
  • Funding information
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Virtual courses and seminars
  • Best practices for remote teaching
  • Professional development tools

In addition to sharing and expanding on these materials, we want to help further connect our community by sharing experiences from stem cell scientists and labs across the world.

ISSCR has launched a brief survey to determine how this crisis is affecting the stem cell community. The results will be shared on the ISSCR website COVID-19 page and will help guide ISSCR activities and programs. Results and insights will be shared on the ISSCR COVID-19 page and through the Society’s social media channels, using #ISSCRCovid19, and will help to guide future ISSCR activities and programs.

Lastly, ISSCR encourages you to share how you are spending your time right now, to ask advice of other community members, or to suggest a helpful resource. Please email us at Covid19@isscr.org, so that we can bring this information to the entire community.
