While the Society remains optimistic that strong progress is being made toward the development of an effective vaccine for the coronavirus and that we will begin to see a sharper decline in COVID-19 in all countries around the world, the ISSCR believes it is in the best interest of our community to postpone two in-person international symposia that were planned for the Fall.

Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, that was to have taken place in Shanghai, China in September has been rescheduled until 12-14 January, 2022. This decision has been made in collaboration with our partners ShanghaiTech University, Guangzhou Regenerative Medicine and Health Guangdong Laboratory. The Society has communicated with speakers, sponsors, and registrants related to this change in timing. Sign up to receive email announcements about this program as it evolves.

The International Symposia originally scheduled in Paris, France this October, Advances in Stem Cell Research: From Single Cells to Organs, will now be held in the Fall of 2022.  The ISSCR is working with partners the French Society for Stem Cell Research (FSSCR) and the Belgium Society for Stem Cell Research (BeSSCR) to formalize a new date for this meeting. In the meantime, you may sign up to receive email notifications about this program.

The ISSCR is committed to bringing exceptional scientific programming around stem cell science and regenerative medicine to our community and will continue to do so within the best interests of our members and global public health recommendations.
