Registration and Abstract Submission Are Open For ISSCR 2026 in Montréal 8-11 July

STEMCELL Technologies to Co-Sponsor the Foremost Event of the Year in Stem Cell Science

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) has opened registration and abstract submission for the ISSCR 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place 8-11 July 2026 in Montréal, Canada. The Global Stem Cell Event will bring together academic and industry leaders driving progress in stem cell science and regenerative medicine.

STEMCELL Technologies will co-sponsor the hallmark event, continuing a valued collaboration that underscores the importance of partnership between science and industry in advancing the field.

“Stem cell science is moving faster than ever, and we are thrilled to have STEMCELL Technologies’ support as we bring together the global community to explore the most exciting advances, from fundamental biology to clinical breakthroughs,” said ISSCR President Hideyuki Okano. “Under the leadership of Fiona Doetsch and Nozomu Yachie, the 2026 program will expand into the rapidly emerging area of engineering biology, integrating computational approaches and engineering to push the boundaries of discovery. ISSCR 2026 promises to be an unforgettable moment for our community.”

"As Canada’s largest biotechnology company, it is a privilege for STEMCELL to co-sponsor the ISSCR Annual Meeting and welcome the remarkable community of global stem cell scientists to Montréal in 2026,” said Dr. Allen Eaves, President and CEO, STEMCELL Technologies. “Over the years, STEMCELL and the ISSCR have cultivated a strong relationship built on a shared purpose of supporting scientists who are making the world a better place. Like the ISSCR, STEMCELL believes that collaboration is at the heart of scientific progress, and we look forward to the invigorating discussions and fresh ideas that will shape the future of stem cell research when we gather next year.”

ISSCR 2026 is more than a gathering of the best stem cell science of the year, it is a catalyst for discovery and collaboration. Participants will connect with trailblazing scientists, innovators, and thought leaders sharing the latest research and breakthrough ideas. From casual discussions to structured networking, this is the place where new partnerships form and transformative ideas take shape.

The heart of the ISSCR Annual Meeting is its vibrant and inclusive global community. With nearly 3,500 international attendees, ISSCR 2026 offers a unique opportunity for companies and organizations to elevate their profile within the global regenerative medicine ecosystem. Meet industry decision-makers, forge strategic relationships, and showcase your technologies to the leaders shaping the future of stem cell science.

ISSCR members enjoy special registration rates and unique opportunities to connect with colleagues during this inspiring four-day event. Together, attendees will explore how collaboration and integration across model systems, technologies, and translational research are shaping the future of stem cell and regenerative medicine.

Scientists are invited to submit abstracts by 25 February 2026 for consideration for oral presentations and Travel and Merit Awards. A late-breaking abstract submission period will run from 11 March through 22 April 2026, limited to poster presentations.

For the best rates, register by 25 February 2026. ISSCR offers reduced rates for members in countries classified by the World Bank as low- or lower-middle-income with up to 50% reduction in the price of in-person registration and in the abstract submission fee. The new Registration+ option allows scientists to join ISSCR and register for the meeting simultaneously, simplifying access to preferred pricing.

Journalists are encouraged to apply for media credentials in order to receive complementary access to the meeting.
