Stem Cell Reports Named Official Conference Journal for “Latest Advances in Stem Cell-Based Disease Modelling and Drug Screening”

The meeting takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark, 23-24 April 2026

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) announces that Stem Cell Reports, its official open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by Cell Press, has been named the official conference journal for the upcoming meeting, Latest Advances in Stem Cell-Based Disease Modelling and Drug Screening, taking place 23-24 April, 2026, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This designation underscores Stem Cell Reports as a leading platform for the dissemination of high-impact research spanning basic discovery through clinical translation in stem cell science. As the official journal of the ISSCR, Stem Cell Reports is committed to advancing scientific rigor, transparency, and innovation across the field.

The Copenhagen meeting will convene scientists from academia, biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industry to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of stem cell-based disease modeling and drug discovery. The program will highlight advances in organoid technologies, scalable screening platforms, and translational strategies that are reshaping how new therapies are developed.

The conference theme closely aligns with the ISSCR’s Consortium on Advanced Stem Cell-Based Models in Drug Discovery and Development, a global initiative accelerating the responsible adoption of stem cell-derived models in preclinical research. By advancing more predictive, human-relevant systems for drug discovery and safety assessment, both the conference and the Consortium share a common goal of improving translational success and enabling more effective therapeutics.

Further, by aligning with this international forum, Stem Cell Reports continues to strengthen its position as a central resource for the global stem cell community and a trusted venue for publishing advances that are shaping the future of biomedical research.

Conference registration closes soon, learn more.
