The ISSCR Announces Poster Award Winners from Accelerating PSC-Derived Cell Therapies: Starting with the End in Mind
Four early career scientists are recognized for their outstanding poster presentations at the ISSCR International Symposium held in Cambridge, USA 11-12 December 2025. The awards are sponsored by WiCell. The winners include:
Marc Estarellas, Creatio, Production and Validation Center of Advanced Therapies, IDIBAPS, University of Barcelona, Spain
“It is a great honor to receive this award, as it represents recognition of my early career and the work carried out by our research group. This award encourages me to continue pursuing the development of a stem cell–based therapy for the treatment of Huntington’s disease. I found this meeting extremely valuable due to the high level of all the speakers and the insights I received to further improve our approaches.”
Austin Feeney, MD/PhD Candidate, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison, USA
“I am honored to receive this poster award and grateful that I had the opportunity to share our group’s work with so many talented scientists at this year’s ISSCR PSC-Derived Therapies Symposium. The presentations and posters were exceptional, and I am extremely excited for the future of pluripotent stem cell-derived therapies.”
Charles Kerr PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow, Center of Regenerative Medicine, Boston University and Boston Medical Center
“Thank you all for the opportunity to present our work and engage with other researchers towards achieving hPSC therapies. It was enlightening to see innovative, patient inspired work and I am excited to see what new developments occur within the coming years.”
David X. Li, University of Toronto, Canada
“The ISSCR symposium was an incredible opportunity to learn about breakthrough science, connect with mentors and fellow peers, and collaborate on the next innovative ventures. It's my honor to receive the ISSCR Outstanding Poster Award this year!”
