Get Involved with the ISSCR: Two Ways to Make an Impact
The strength of the ISSCR comes from the expertise, perspectives, and contributions of its global community. This fall, members have two important opportunities to engage with the Society – helping to shape its future leadership and recognizing individuals and groups whose contributions are advancing stem cell science and the field.
Nominations for both opportunities are due on 16 October 2026.
Help Shape the ISSCR’s Future Leadership
The ISSCR is accepting nominations for Vice President and three Directors for the 2027 election. The Society is seeking global and diverse representation and individuals who can bring the expertise, experience, and perspectives needed to help guide the ISSCR and its work on behalf of the international stem cell research community.
Members are invited to nominate a colleague or themselves. Self-nominations are encouraged.

Recognize Outstanding Contributions Across Our Field
ISSCR members can also help recognize the people and groups making significant contributions to stem cell biology, translational medicine, and serving the community by submitting nominations for the 2027 ISSCR Awards.
The Society welcomes nominations from across the global community, reflecting the breadth of scientific achievement, leadership, impact, and service that continue to move the field forward.
Nominations are open for four awards:
ISSCR Early Career Impact Award
ISSCR Momentum Award
ISSCR Lifetime Achievement Award
ISSCR Public Service Award
Award recipients will be recognized at the ISSCR 2027 Annual Meeting, 15–18 June 2027, in San Francisco, USA.

Make Your Voice Part of the ISSCR’s Future
Whether identifying leaders who can help guide the Society or recognizing those whose work has made an important contribution to science and the broader stem cell community, nominations are a direct way for ISSCR members to help shape what comes next. Both deadlines are 16 October 2026.
