Strengthening the Regenerative Medicine Workforce Webinar

Organizer Description: The Forum on Regenerative Medicine will organize a virtual public webinar to highlight recent Forum activities focused on workforce development in regenerative medicine. During the session, Forum members will present on their work examining skill and workforce gaps across sectors and stages of product development.

The webinar may cover prior Forum activities, including:

  • 2022 workshop, Training the Regenerative Medicine Workforce for the Future, which explored current and emerging workforce needs across research, manufacturing, regulatory science, and clinical translation areas;

  • 2024 series of discussions that explored gaps in regenerative medicine workforce training, across those working on products at the preclinical, IND-enabling, and post-approval stages of product development; and

  • A recently published paper highlighting the role of soft skills (e.g. communication, teamwork, adaptability) in enabling an effective workforce in regenerative medicine.

The goal of the webinar is to inform a broader audience about the Forum’s recent work on regenerative medicine workforce development, highlight the importance of soft skills in this field, and better understand workforce challenges and opportunities for closing training gaps.
